Play advice NYC, next week 11/5-11/7

I need some theater advice, heading to NY next week (I grew up there, visiting my parents, so really don't need any extraneous advice). Since we just decided to go yesterday I really don't have much time to plan and have not been on top of Times Theater reviews. I would like to go to one play either Wed, Thurs or Friday, night time or matinee. Not into musicals at all, and am perfectly happy to go Off Broadway. Looking for a drama that anyone thinks we could actually get tickets to. Helpful suggestions appreciated.

This is our Youth, Disgraced, The Country House, all pretty easy.

Or the harder to get The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night!

We liked The Country House quite a bit==got tickets at TKTS.
Loved the book The Curious Incident, but haven't seen the play.

If you don't mind a comedy, You Can't Take It With You is great.

I just saw The Real Thing and, sadly, can't recommend it, but this is one of Tom Stoppard's most famous plays, and it has Ewan McGregor, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Cynthia Nixon, all great actors in a production that just didn't work for me.

What happened to the other posts here? Bizarre!

NeoPatrick, the OP also has a thread on this topic in the Lounge. Perhaps that's where you saw the other posts?

Phew. Thanks, jv827, I really thought I was losing it. I didn't realize that I had already posted on two versions of the same thread!

With limited time to check reviews you might have a look at www.timeout.com new york edition. They have "critics choice" or other tags as recommendations.
