Howard,<BR>Thanks for your input. I was just a tad amused at the decription of the play and me planning a trip with my soon to be gone from home son. I am not even sure if the boys want to see a Broadway play but my thinking is how often are they going to have that opportunity??

Blue Man Group is great for teenagers. Try to get seats in the first six? rows or so and they'll give you rain gear to wear. Last year when I went to NYC there was a show---would have to do some research---maybe someone reading this knows---it was not in the Times Square area even though I bought the ticket late for that eve at the TKTS booth at Times Square---took the subway there, easy---flying & acrobatics---we stood in a darkened room and the show was overhead---very different--lots of younger people there with parents. I'd take my teens---some audience participation also--think the group started with an L? Anyone?

I agree that Into the Woods is a slightly risky choice for kids' first theatre experience, think you've gotten some other suggestions that would be safer. <BR><BR> Also second the Metropolitan Museum--a planned one to two hour visit, with the hall of armor, the Tample of Dendur, and the Egypt stuff as the main or only things you visit (to get to them you'll walk past other htings anyhow).<BR><BR> And--remember--the Museum of Modern Art has temporarily moved to Queens, so it might take too much time on a short visit. <BR><BR> When you go to the Metropolitan Museum, you are right next to the Park, so you could take a nice walk there afterward. You can eat lunch in the museum cafeteria, which is pleasant and not expensive--a bargain really--and/or buy hotdogs and ice cream from vendors outside and eat them in the Park.<BR><BR> (Me, I try to do both, cafeteria and hot dogs) for me museum-going always includes many nice food and rest stops. <BR><BR> Also keep in mind the Metropolitan is open late Friday and Saturday nights, and this is a great time to go, the vibe is good and at least on Friday there is wonderful live music played on the balcony.
