Planetaruin visit

Hi,

We are travelling with our 3 yrs old daughter to DC this weekend. Should we make a visit to the Planetarium...not sure if its is something that kids her age will enjoy?

Thanks

She may get bored. Also, if she's afraid of the dark, it's not for her. Unlike a movie theater, it may feel kinda spooky.

Hi kdd, it depends on your daughter I would think. Does she enjoy looking at the stars at night? Is she afraid of the dark? I have a family member who always does fun things with his children every weekend and I know they took his little fellow to the SF Planetarium at that age and he had a great time. But I can think of other little children that would probably be quite bored. Whatever you do have a wonderful time in DC!

There are so many things to do in DC that are more appropriate for a toddler, I do not think the typical 3-year-old would tolerate a planetarium presentation. If you do decide to go, check and make sure that she will be admitted; the planetarium in my city has a minimum age of 6.

Hi All,

Thanks for your helpful posts. Based on your response, I don't think my daughter would enjoy the trip just yet...so we will do other fun stuff.
