How is the Planet Hollywood hotel in LV? My AAA agent recommended it as being new, clean, and moderately priced -- has anyone been there recently?

Yes, it was fine and centrally located and was reasonable, plus it had access to a nice shopping area...I would give it 3 stars.

It's not really new, it's just the re-themed and re-furbished Aladdin Hotel. If you want to check reviews, a lot of them are probably listed under the old name.

Best thing about the rooms is the huge bathrooms, and the buffet has a great reputation. Right across the street from Bellagio.

It's definitely not "new" - as joesorce says, it's mainly just a rebranded refurbished version of the Aladdin. But it's a good value and a great location in the center of the strip.

The Miracle Mile shopping mall (which is nice, good selection of affordable stores, not all super high-end) still has remnants of he Aladdin Arabian desert theme.

I enjoyed the Aladdin which Planet Hollywood used to be. I think you'll enjoy it.
