Plam Springs Christmas
We're planning to meet family in Palm Springs for a week over christmas. Have founds dozens of houses to rent but am having trouble working out which areas to go for.
We'd like to be central, hopefully walkable to downtown or shops/coffee etc. We'll bring our bikes. We will be 4 adults and 2 kids (14 and 8). Also any suggestions about hiking and eating would be great (and waterparks says my son!) thanks |
The central business district is Palm Canyon and Indian Canyon between Vista Chino and Ramon Road.
Generally the southern area is better since there is less wind. However, anything south of Vista Chino should not have too much wind. |
The average high in Palm Springs in December and January is 70 degrees - nice, but not waterpark weather!
|
thanks for both those points. As hardy Europeans our children think 70 is water park weather!
We found a house we like in Ruth Hardy Park area and another on Burton Way. Any thoughts? |
The big waterpark in Palm Springs is Knott's Soak City but it closes down for the winter after Labor Day (September). Some of the big hotels may heat their pools during Christmas but sounds like you are renting a house instead of staying at a resort.
