places to stay in SAN FRANCISCO

.My girlfriend and I are going to a concert at the Masonic Hall September 29th and are looking for a motel to stay at in the city.We are avid walkers so it doesn't matter if its a hike to get there.I would like to keep it around 250 night. We stayed in the North Beach last time we went to the city and enjoyed that area.

It is a hike and a HILL to walk to Masonic Hall. I would stay on the Embarcadero near the Ferry Bldg and take the California St Cable Car to get there, and then walk back (downhill) after the performance.

I'd also stay somewhere along the California Cable Car line -- so along the Embarcadero or the very southern bits of North Beach.

We're avid walkers too, but walking TO Masonic is a totally different animal. The hill is STEEP.

The Hyatt Regency Embarcadero has often been available on Hotwire for a good price.

Union Square is also close to the Masonic but the Powell St. Cable car line is much more crowded/hard to get on than the California St. line. You could Uber up, and walk back. We walked home from the Masonic last New Years Eve and we live a mile past Union Square.

WE often stay at the Embarcadero Hyatt because it is easy to get to and from using BART for the airport; it is easy to get the MUNI for our ridesback and forth to the opera house; close to the Ferry Bldg, etc.

The place works for US but ight not, so much, for you. I would do everything possible to get it at a discount, too.
