Places to shop the cape&Martha's Vineyard
My husband and I have planned a 5 day trip to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. I love all kinds of activities and we are both planning those. We are staying at a nice place, Scargo Manor in Dennis, on a lake. We will have time to do all the regular sporty things there but I also want to shop a little. He is a good sport about it but don't know which market to go to. Anyone have any advice. Have heard about the one in Chilmark called Flea in the Meadow. I also heard about the Wellfleet drive in flea market. The other one I came across but not sure how close it is, is Raynham flea market. I know there is also a 10 th annual summer Festival with 60 artisans on sundays on the Vineyard. So if anyone has some advice for us regarding all this, it would really be appreciated. Thanks, Andrea

It's about an hour for you to get to Raynham - more if you go during traffic times -
The rtisan fair you are talking about on MV, I think is the one we go to in West Tisbury on Sundays and Thursdays in the summer - if so, this is not a 'flea market' - it is a high end arts and crafts fair (in my mind) with scultpure, furniture, jewelry, photographs, stained glass, pottery, etc and while there are some lesser priced, jewlery can run into the 100's of dollars and while there are a few glass plates, etc for under 25, there are as many for over 50 and 100, so I am not sure if this is what you have in mind.
It's a juried show 'craft artisan' collection - so if this is the one (link below) just wanted to give you a heads up. no bargains/flea market wears here-

Also, getting to West Tisbury means, unless you are staying upisland, taking either a bus or mopeds or renting a car and going about 30-45 minutes from Vineyard Haven/Oak Bluffs to get there.
Not worth it just to go there for this, in my mind.
The items are beautiful, but you can also find similar on Cape itself and don't need to go to MV for just this - unless you are making the trip to the island for ohter reasons too, then definitely stop by and you will see other galleries, glass blowing studio, etc , along the way to get there, none of which are any 'bargain prices'
if yuo google "flea markets, cape cod, ma" there are a few listings of all them - you can do the same for 'craft shows' or 'arts and craft shows' - also if you google "agricultural fairs' or 'fairs' in massachusetts, there is a master list and sometimes they also have crafts, flea markets, but also other things that might interest your husband too !
have fun !
