Places To Find Nativity Scenes
 

I like to collect nativity scenes and especially like the ones we have found in our travels to different places. We will be visiting the four main islands right around the Christmas holidays and would very much like to find one somewhere in Hawaii! I was thinking that the International Marketplace would probably be the best place to find one but since I have never been to Hawaii before, I'm not sure!!
Islandmom, you seem to be a "been there, done that" kind of person. Do you, or anyone else, have any suggestions, as I don't want to waste a whole lot of our precious time on the islands looking for one?!

You mean like a nativity scene with a Hawaii twist to it? Probably Macy's in Ala Moana Center.

I suggest you post this again with "Hawaii" in the title. Otherwise you might not pick up the readers you're looking for.

You could look online for Hawaiin Christmas products. The only Nativity Set I could find so far was at www.giventreasure.com/religion.html

Theres a place in Frankenmuth, Michigan (a tourisy Bavarian village) called Bronners, that specializes in everything Christmas. Not sure if its still there, but they had everything you could imagine from all over the world.

Try the Hallmark store on Maui.

There's a year-round Christmas store - don't remember the name right now - at Whalers Village, Ka'anapali, Maui. I bought a nativity scene, Christmas cards & various Hawaiian themed ornaments there a couple of years ago. I know the store is still there.

Oh, wait! Now that you mention Christmas stores....i think there is one in Ward Warehouse on the 2nd floor. It's tucked away down a hallway.
