Pipestem State Park in West Virginia is a beautiful place. I have stayed in the lodge, in a gorge view room on the 7th floor. Old facility with beautiful views. Will be returning this summer to stay in a cabin. Not far from I-77, perhaps 20 miles.

Consider Canaan Valley near Davis, WV. "Cinnamon Fern Chalet", while not a B&B, is a vacation rental and ideal for family reunions. Google its websites.

Pipestem was what I was trying to remember. Haven't been for years but it was beautiful.
I pass Tamarack all the time also on my way to OHIO and try not to stop. But WVA is an interesting state, I think.

There is a lovely B & B across the road from Pipestem called Nostalgia Inn (all rooms first floor). In Hinton is New River Lodge - they have individual houses that are B & B, complete with kitchen. Bluefield (I-77)has Country Chalet and Dian-Lee House. Lewisburg has Church Street B & B and General Lewis Inn. Just beyond Lewisburg (which is just off I-64) is White Sulphur Springs (home of the famous Greenbrier) and the lovely James Wylie House. All the above B & Bs are inspected and approved members of MABB (state assoc.).
