Place to go overnight

20th anniversary by dvg1027, 9/30/05

Our 20th anniversary is the end of Oct and I want to plan an overnight getaway for my husband and me. Besides AC which we go to frequently, any ideas as to where to go for just 1 night? We live in the Belmar area.Thanks.

I vote for NYC. Get tickets for dinner and a show, then stay over at the Ritz (or wherever you can afford), then Sunday brunch and a walk in the park.

Congrats on your 20th. I don't want to get too personal but what about Inn of the Dove. Since you only have one night it would probably be good. Google "Inn of the Dove" and you'll see the one in Cherry Hill...could be a good idea???

Not sure how much you want to spend (or how many hours on the road) but I've heard nothing but wonderful reviews about the Mohonk Mountain House in New York State. I believe it's a 90-minute drive from Northern NJ. Williams Lake Hotel is also right there and much cheaper (but not as romantic!)~ Happy Anniversary!
