Place for casual business retreat near SoCal in September

Hi,

Looking for ideas on where to hold an informal business retreat next September. Approx. 90 people. No special needs other than a few conference rooms, meals included. We can bring our own booze as we have done in the past.

Have gone to Big Bear/Arrowhead in the past but looking for something different. Needs to be within a few hours of Los Angeles.

Thanks

Laguna Beach - there are many hotels and the numbers of tourists go down dramatically after Labor Day. Lots of places to eat and things to do after hours.

I'd vote Rancho Bernardo Inn as well. Really nice grounds, hosts conferences often, golf course, tennis, pools, nice bar, both casual and formal restaurants all on site. Not much to do in the area though if you're looking to get off property.

Thanks for the replies. I will check in to them. Really want a place that is somewhat isolated, so people won't take off for the nearest casino at night and will stay and mingle. I will check out Rancho Bernardo.

Again, thanks.

You might want to check Mandalay Beach Resort in Oxnard, an Embassy Suites Resort (http://www.beachcalifornia.com/xes.html). The beachfront location is wonderful - and isolated enough that people would tend to hang out there, rather than drive to city areas. They have meeting rooms and serve a wonderful breakfast.
