Place D'armes Hotel - New Orleans
 

I am planning a trip in NOLA in the fall, so I just bought the 2012 Fodor's guidebook, and to my surprise the Place D'armes is not listed. Why is that, does anyone know?

Actually I'm astounded it isn't listed in there. The Place D'armes gets great reviews on the Trip Advisor web site. I've never stayed there, but have seen a couple of the rooms with other friends, and it really looks nice - the courtyard/pool area is fantastic!!

PDA is an outstanding hotel in the middle of the FQ. Here's a few good choices also.

The courtyard is gorgeous! They have a range of rooms from really lovely to some bargain windowless rooms (My father-in-law loved these for the bargain price and sleeping in absolute darkness.)
