Pittsburgh this weekend

Last minute trip to Pittsburgh this weekend.

Anything we should know? We heard they're filming a movie and we'd really like to avoid that area, and the traffic if possible.

If we have time, we'd like to see Fort Pitt and Pointe park, take an incline, maybe see Andy Warhol museum. Will it be difficult to navigate those areas?

Would greatly appreciate any info!

I can recommend the Andy Warhol Museum and taking the incline to a restaurant for lunch with a view :-) Have not been to Fort Pitt or Pointe Park but really, really enjoyed Fallingwater which I think is about an hour and a half from Pittsburgh: http://www.fallingwater.org/

They aren't just filming "a movie"; they're filming the upcoming Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises"!!!

Unfortunately, I don't know where they are filming now so I can't tell you what parts of town to avoid. I really enjoyed the Andy Warhol Museum and think it's well worth a visit. The incline is fun to ride for great views of the city, but that won't take much time.

You might enjoy one of the Carnegie Museums (Natural History, Science or Art) in addtion to the Warhol Museum. There's also the excellent Phipps Conservatory and I am a big fan of the Nationality Rooms in the Cathedral of Learning on the Pitt campus. The stained glass windows in the Heinz Chapel next to the Cathedral of Learning are also worth seeing. If you choose to visit the Carnegie Natural History Museum, the Phipps Conservatory, the Cathedral of Learning and the Heinz Chapel, you could just park somewhere in Oakland and walk to all of these places.

So how was the trip?
See any of the movie makers? (They were in different locations on different days.)
Where'd you go, and what did you enjoy?
