Monday:68 high and low of 52...same on Tuesday...and slowly getting a little cooler...w/a high around 60 by Saturday..long range...but of course they always say that and it ends up a little warmer...but if storms come from the south who knows...try www. the pittsburghchannel.com--wpxi.com or kdka.com---they are the news channels in PGH and have updated weather...business or pleasure...have a good time in our neck of the woods....

Jumping in here--sorry. But could someone tell me the average beginning of the snow season in Pittsburgh? I've got to plan a trip but am terrified of driving in the snow. THanks.

dg:

You mean September? I live 20 miles from Pittsburgh. I'd just bring an umbrella and a sweater in case in gets a little cool at night or early morning. I'd say the 1st snowfall can usually occur starting mid-November and beyond. Due to global warming our winters are really mild, only a few snowstorms a year.
