Pittsburgh-between Christmas & New Year's

Hi,
I'm planning to travel to Pittsburgh between these two holidays and was looking for some good ideas on things to do. I'm staying at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. We are 2 40-something women looking for a nice place to listen to oldies and have a few drinks. Any suggestions?
Thanks

You're in luck, ladies.
There's a great football game on at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh 10am December 24th.

punkin:

I'd suggest Station Square. Since I last went there many different restaurants have been added to their site. I know there is a Houlihans in Station Square for sure. After that you may want to take the Duquesne Incline for a nice view of the city. The incline is across the street from Station Square.

If you are staying at the Westin Convention Center, I would suggest a nice dinner/drinks at Sonoma Grille, right across the street. I would also recommend Tonic Bar and Grill, for food and drinks. Both are upscale with a great food and drink menu.

Unfortunately I don't know where you could go in town to listen to the oldies, but I can help with the "have a few drinks" part!! Also, try August Henry's for casual lunch fare. This place is also very close to your hotel.

Spend a morning (or night) at the Strip.

Eat at Primantis (the one in the Strip....preferably at 2 AM....)

I've only ever known one PUNKIN in my life and she was in Santa Clara, CA about 25 years ago. Same person?

The Waterfront is a fun area with tons of things to do.

Actually Punkin is my cat's name and he is not from Santa Clara. Thanks for the tips!
