Pines and Palms in Islamorada

Anyone stay here? My husband and I are looking into this for two days. It looks cute and clean. Right on the water with a beach and pool. A cottage or ocean suite? Anybody? Or, the Moorings...a bit expensive, but they have a Honeymoon Cottage that is within our price range. Also, North Lodge is too. Hmmmm...But, they don't look as nice as the Pines and Palms.

The Moorings would be the better choice while in Islamorada. You have to be very careful with hotels down there they may look nice on the web but they could either be next to the Overseas Highway where you will hear traffic noise all night or they haven't been refurbished since the 50's and the ac etc. doesn't work well. Cheeca Lodge is another nice property on Islamorada as is the Hampton Inn. Stayed at all 3 one time or another and recommend them.

Well, I booked two nights at Pines and Palms. Hope it goes well. Will post an update.

I don't know about your hotel, but if you want good food for a very reasonable price, try eating at Hog Heaven. It's a lot better than it sounds!!

Mary Beth, I was checking the Pines & Palms out, too. It looks very nice. If you are going soon, please post when you get back! Thanks!
