Pinehurst Guys Weekend
 

I am driving down to Pinehurst with a group of guys for a golf weekend. I have been tasked with doing the grocery shopping (steaks, burgers, dogs, etc). What are the main grocery stores in the Pinehurst area? Is it recommended that I go to a surrounding town to do my shopping? Also, what is the policy on alcohol in the area? Can you buy it in grocery stores? Do you need to go to special package stores? Looking for mainly beer, but may get some hard stuff too. Thanks!

The best grocery store in the area is Fresh Market in Southern Pines. There are several others in the area - you'll have no problem finding them or buying whatever you want. Best wishes.

Beer and wine are sold in grocery stores. Hard liquor is only available in state run ABC stores. They are easily located in the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area.
The take out foods section of Fresh Market is excellent.
