Pike Market Seattle
We'll be arriving in Seattle around noon on a Sunday in August and want to visit Pike Market.
Where would we locate parking? Is Sunday afternoon an especially busy time at the market? Any suggestions as to the best route, exits, etc coming from SeaTac? We'll be heading to Anacortes when we leave, so could also use the best route back to I5 north.

Pike Place Market will be crowded on a Sunday in August. The best way to enjoy it if you want to avoid crowds is to go early, when they open. We like to go get coffee and watch the vendors set up.
As far as parking goes, there is quite a bit on the back side of the market down towards the water.
To get back to I-5 northbound, just head up Stewart St. and veer off on Olive and that will take you right onto I-5 N.

Just checked out Seafair, and the week of the air show and boat races is the week we'd be there.
mms suggested getting there early, but afraid our plans for that Sunday have us boarding a plane on the east coast at 8 am.
Another option is 2 weeks later on a Friday afternoon. Does that seem better? Afraid navigating the city with 3 cars on a busy Sunday would really be a poor way to start a group trip.

Pike Place closes early Sunday nights. We're locals and have been sad to show up at the market with so much summer evening sunlight left and the market closed. I'd advise avoiding SeaFair weekend and do the Friday afternoon. Make sure you drive over the bridges at Deception Pass, just south of Anacortes! Gorgeous area!

As far as your cars and downtown, regardless of when you come, I'd suggest parking them and going on foot or by bus (there is a 'free ride zone' covering most of downtown) when you are downtown. Moving/parking 3 cars around would be a hassle! Pike Place Market has a number of parking lots & garages they run nearby. On Sunday you *could* even luck into street parking, which would be free.
