Pike fishing recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best areas for pike fishing in Colorado and any good guide services?

I am amazed. Are there pike in colorado?

Colorado is not big pike country, unless you count Pike's Peak. LOL. Google Colorado Dept of Wildlife to see what they have to say.

Well, I didn't think so either, but we were recently in Durango and stopped by a fishing store and they said there were big northern pike in the lakes near there. So I thought I'd ask what the best areas were.

I just checked the dept of Wildlife site as you suggested, they didn't list pike but did list large Muskie which are similar. I wonder if that's what the guy at the fishing store was talking about.

There are pike and muskies in lots of CO lakes. They aren't native but they are quite prevalent. I think I read once that Muskies were only introduced in the late 20th century.

(I only barely remember this because Pike are such a huge problem in CA mountain lakes and a few years ago I was reading how they are dealt w/ in other states)
