Pigeon Forge Help

I came across rooms101.com when doing a search for accommodations in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I wanted to know if anyone had ever booked a room or cabin from them. They did tell me it was a time share. They stated I only needed $50.00 down now and I pay my balance about a week before arrival. My husband and I were looking for a cabin in that area to go for our anniversary. The rates are really low, so I was skeptical. We want to make sure this is not a scam, and that we will have the accommodations we are promised when we arrive. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank You.

I know Bluegreen has a resort there. Is it Laurel Crest? http://www.bluegreenrentals.com/land...rel-crest.aspx

A time share in Pigeon Forge-be still my heart. Unless you are into the kitsch and shopping of that place, look outside of PF.

Hi I wouldnt do the time share deal.Heard to many horror stories about them in the area. We come to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area around 4 times a year. Ive been 5 times in the past year and love it. We like to use Timber Tops,Alpine Chalet Rentals,Diamond Mountain Rental and Jackson Mountain Homes. They have cabins/chalets all over the area.I dont like using vrbo because if you have a problem then your out of luck because most owners live out of state. All the companies I use have a A rating with the BBB and have great cabins and rates. Pigeon Forge is a nice big town but more geared towards family and spread out alot and Gatlinburg is a nice little walking town. I would go into the national park during your trip. Go up to Cades Cove,Clingmans DomeRoaring Fork Motor Nature Trail and Newfound gap. There is also alot of waterfalls in the area and over 800 miles of hiking trails. Dollywood is a nice theme park to visit and Ober Gatlinburg is also nice. I would recommend eating at Best Italian,Howards Steakhouse,Old Mill, Bennetts BBQ, Pancake Pantry, Applewoods, and stop by Coffee and Company if you like coffee. They have the best around. Hers some links that may help you.

summervacation you will love Cades Cove. Alot of old churches and homesteads there and you might even see some Bears, and Deer. Remember Cades Cove Loop Road
This road is closed to motor vehicles on Wednesday and Saturday mornings until 10:00 a.m. from May 11 - September 21, 2011 to allow bicyclists and pedestrians to enjoy the cove. Otherwise the road is open daily from sunrise until sunset.Hope you have a wonderful time and give us a trip report when you return home.Have a safe trip :)

This is for Gatlinburglover and/or anyone else who can help out. We are going to be staying in Townsend from June 30th until July 7th. We already plan on going to Cades Cove and all of the other places you suggested. We are looking for ideas for the 4th of July. I don't know what all is going on in that area around the 4th. Any suggestions you can give me? We don't mind driving to Gatlinburg or someplace else not too far.
