Pierogie restaurant in Chicago

I have seen this restaurant mentioned here serveal times and thought that I would remember the name. However, now when I need it I cannot remember it or find it in any posting. If I remember correctly it is located on Wells. I thought that it was Heaven on Seventh but that is cajun. Any help woud be much appreciated.

Pierogi Heaven on North Wells. It is sort of underneath the El on the east side of the street.
DW and I ate there between trains as we had not had any good pierogis since we left PA a few years ago.
Tip: get both the sour cream and the fried onions to go with your 6, 9 or 12 pierogis. As I remember, the canned sodas came from a cooler near the counter.

Thank you tomfuller. That is the place I was thinking of. I completely understand the PA pierogi reference. Our family traveled to PA a few time a year to visit my Dad's family. On Thursday mornings my Dad and his Uncle would go up to the Ukrainian church to get pierogis made by the church ladies. We always froze some to take home.

We recently stumbled across Podhalanka, a hole-in-the-wall on Division St. between Milwaukee and Ashland (it's right off the Blue Line Division St. stop). Not much for atmosphere, but great pierogi and blintz!

My husband eats at Pierogi Heaven on Wells for lunch a lot, and loves it.
For a plethora of good Polish food, try to take a taxi or bus up to N. Milwaukee Ave. You can't go wrong here, the whole area is mostly authentic Polish restaurants.
