Pier at Clearwater Beach
Can someone tell me some of the nice hotels that are near the pier that has the covered play area in Clearwater Beach?
Also, are there any things that kids would enjoy doing in Clearwater Beach besides the beach itself?

I don't know where the pier is but I would like to let you know that you should NOT stay at the Adams Mark on the beach!! Yikes, what a pit!! They told us they're "taking it to the steel" and remodeling it entirely -- which it desparately needs! We did enjoy Clearwater Beach . . Don't know about kids, but adults would love the Salt Rock Grill!! It was fabulous -- maybe a bit pricey, but certainly reasonable for the quality (ie $20-40$ per person with a couple of beers). Have fun!
The Hilton is right next door. We could see the playground & pier from our room when we stayed there last spring. Nice hotel, but I wasn't overly fond of Clearwater Beach area in general. Bob Heilman's Beachcomber restaurant was an exception - excellent food and service. Enjoy !!

I agree with the above poster. Beachcomber's, EXCELLENT. The Hilton (which used to be the Holiday Inn Surfside) is great. We are locals, so if you would like to email me directly, that would be okay.

The Hilton is the nearest hotel to the pier the Ramada is not very close but is great for kids.If you like being near the pier you should eat at Frenchys Rockaway it is right on the Beach and very close to the pier.Have a Great trip.

Pam,
I agree, the Beachcomber and Frenchy's are wonderful restaurants. I haven't been to the Salt Rock Grill.
I stayed at the Adam's Mark about a year and a half ago and found it nice. I'm sorry that the above poster found it so bad.
Kittie
