Picking Flowers on Maui?

I am getting married in Maui in October and I was just wondering if it is legal to pick flowers in Maui?

I want to say no, only because I was there five years back and it was not allowed where we were on Maui. Also, we could not bring back any flowers or fruit on the plane.

If you do be careful. My sister -in- law picked some, tucked them behind her ear and low and behold the flower was full of bugs.

Better question: is it MORAL to pick flowers on Maui. If you don't own them or the land, and if you don't have permission from the landowner, then they are there for the public to enjoy, so leave them be and pay a florist to provide flowers for your wedding.

Best wishes!

I don't remember any wild ones that you could pick easily. However, on the Road to Hanna, you could easily buy a big bunch of tropical flowers (orchids, anthurium, bird of paradise, etc.) for $5. I did pick a few guavas along the road, though...
