Picking a Hotel near Metro!!
I'm looking for a hotel for 4 nights in May around the DC or Virgina area .Which would allow me to ride the metro (to see all the major attractions) and not use a car at all....Any Suggestions???? Thanks

Just stayed in the Embassy Suites in Alexandria,VA and highly recommend it. It is right across the street from the King St. Metro station so very convenient to getting around Washington. If you drive, there will be a $12 parking fee per night but they did let us keep the car parked there after checkout until 6PM so we could do more sightseeing. I thought that was very nice of them. Good Luck and have fun.

The Hilton Bethesda is at the Bethesda metro stop if you don't mind staying a bit further away. It's also w/in walking distance of quite a few restaurants. Check out Embassy Suites Chevy Chase (Friendship Heights stop) or Jury hotel in Dupont Circle also.

The Marriott at Metro Center is probably the most centrally-located hotel in the city and literally sits right on top of the metro stop -- couldn't be more convenient.

There are several hotels around Pentagon City metro stop. I think there's still a Marriott at Rossyln. From all of these hotels you'd have great views of DC.

Grand Hyatt also sits on top of Metro Center where you can catch the Orange &
Blue lines to Arlington Cemetery, the
Smithsonians and the Capitol and the Red
line to Union Station, to name just a few stops. The Grand
Hyatt is also only about 4 blocks to the
White House and within walking distance
of the Washington Monument.
