picked DC hotel..now what?
 

Going in May. I just don't feel comfortable with Priceline but I know what hotel I want in Dupont Circle. (Barcello or Jury)

1. do I call the hotel directly?
2. what booking website is best and should I phone or do online?
3. do I book now or wait for better rates?..
4. some people mention AAA..I would assume I tell them that I am a member on the phone?

Thanks for the answers. We were going to NYC but decided we would rather go back to Washington. If you have any other suggestions I would appreciate them.

I would just call the hotel directly. I live just 2 blocks from that hotel and can tell you it is a great place to live. you walk out the door and there is a Starbuck's, tons of restaurants and the metro. Jury's is not that cheap anymore I might add. I have been in the rooms and they are fine by my standards and clean!

Try this DC Hotel discount website service first: Click on your hotel of choice (both of yours are in it), put in the dates, then get the rates for your dates. When they come up, call the hotel directly and see if they can beat it. If not, book through the website. Voila!
