Photographer Information in Phoenix
Hi - this is not exactly travel related but I am in need of some information. My daughter has been invited to Phoenix by photographer Ed Sandoval to do some modeling pictures. Sandoval Photography....(yes she has done some local modeling) I'm just the worried mom wanting to know if anyone knows anything about this photographer????
I haven't been able to find anything but his website.
I'm not familiar with the Phoenix area, so any information is appreciated. Thank You.

His website is:

I'm not sure what you're worried about after looking at the website. It's pretty clear he's not doing porn or anything like that. What exactly are your concerns?

Aside from the porn possibility, she might be concerned that this photgrapher might try to extract money from her daughter to set her up w/a company who supposedly wants her services, etc. And believe me (I had a good friend who had first hand experience w/this), just because the website looks nice and legit, it doesn't mean that the guy doesn't do porn on the side too. And Kassanna said she already had the website info and she still wanted to ask.
Kassana, you and your daughter can have a background records check done on him if you are so inclined and that is what your concern is.

I would certainly be very careful. My son's girlfriend was bought a plane ticket to Chicago recently by who she thought was a modeling agency who she had done some work for but had never signed a contract. She had in the meantime signed with a very large agency. Not fully understanding how things work and not asking the proper questions she flew into Midway and was picked up by some guy there and taken to a Motel 6 (that would send up an alarm), then told they were going to meet the other models. Well she got dumped (and probably lucky for her) at a small mall area with a grocery store. She had no money on her (ok, I did say young and foolish, maybe I did not) anyway she was so lucky that the store clerk tried to help her and then a Chicago police woman. She was pretty much thrown out of the Motel 6 the next day when she had no money to pay and by this time I was brought in to help out. She walked to the Baymount Suites and Inn and they were wonderful. The clerk there waited for me to book the room on expedia (they would not take the credit card over the phone that night). The clerk gave her $40 which I mailed to her the next morning. We booked her on a flight back to LA two days later. I tell you all of this to make sure you are aware of what can happen. She is now with a great modeling agency who are doing things the right way but even then you need contact people, #'s and some money in your pocket. Sorry for the ramble but it had also happened to another girl in Chicago right before this girl and she was gang raped and now in a coma as she fell off of a building. By the way the police have been brought into this in LA and Chicago to find out exactly who bought the plane ticket (which was one way because they told her they were sending her onto NYC, and who was the guy who picked her up).
