Photo Sharing???

I also shared this in "the lounge," but just in case you missed it ...

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I'm having trouble sharing a link to my photos through Shutterfly.
What USER-FRIENDLY sites do you recommend for sharing photos?

I use flickr.com, you can post 200 pictures for free. If you want more there is a small charge. They can be organized into albums and tagged with what ever you want them to indicate (place, topic, etc.)

To see my page go to

Are you using a Shutterfly Share Site or just plain old shutterfly.com? I use the latter (no experience with the former) and find it very easy to share. I just go to the album I want to share, hover over it until Actions appear in the right corner, click Share and then it'll present 3 options - email, facebook or link. For sharing here, I just choose link. The link is simply for that one specific album and doesn't give anyone access to your other photos. You can also go back and make that album private again at any time.

U have more than 10,000 pictures on Flickr and do not pay.

(I also posted this in the lounge)

Apparently, I am a complete techno-moron.

Patty, I thought you had solved the issue by suggesting that I just share the album -- and not the share site. (I hadn't realized that was an option.)

When I sent myself that link I received the album. But there is a place to click on "Photos" on the top right. When I click on that I have access to every photo I have ever posted there--and that includes the ones from back when it was Kodak--probably 20,000 photos.

There's nothing personal in those photos. They're photos from my last ten or fifteen years of travel. But I want to be able to simply share one album!

When I went to Flickr I created an account then received a message that I had previously created an account with this same email address and I needed to delete that one. But I could not find any way to do that. I eventually gave up. ARGGHHH!!!

At Google I found I needed to download a phone app in order to set up an account and I didn't want to do that (although I might go back).

My poor little pea brain is fried and I can't deal with this anymore until I finish a big deadline work project. So thanks for your help and for listening to me vent. This has been SO frustrating. I've been sharing my photos for years and years and never had a problem like this.

When I click on that I have access to every photo I have ever posted there

Are you signed in? That shouldn't appear if you're not signed in and if someone else is signed in to their own shutterfly account, they should get a message that says "You do not have access to this Album in your account."

Can you access my other photos through the link in this thread? http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...ss-landing.cfm

With Patty’s help I’ve solved the mystery and put an end to my madness!!!

I need to log out of Shutterfly before opening the link. Otherwise, it thought it was sending the link to the owner of the account and was granting access to everything in the account.

Thank you all SO much!!! I will soon be back to posting pix on the Hawaii forum.

Patty—are you the same one who helped me with great suggestions about Tasmania a couple of years ago?

I think I did post on your Tassie thread! :)

Songdoc Sep 15th, 2017 03:30 PM

Yup. That was a wonderful trip! Thanks again, Patty.

Shutterfly gives so much money to good causes, on Ellen's show, that I prefer to use them, although I don't have much experience at it.
