Phoenix-Tucson 3 Days
We've changed our plans at the last minute to forego Vegas :( and instead we will be flying into Phoenix on a Thursday morning and departing Sunday morning.
I was thinking we'd just drive straight to Tucson and spent our days there (I was there twenty years ago and have fond memories since it was my first time out of the Midwest) but was wondering if anyone wants to put in their two cents as to why it may be a good idea to stay at least our first night in Phoenix?? |
I'd just zip down to Tucson straight from Sky Harbor since it will be an easy morning drive (opposite direction of rush hour traffic) and you only have a couple of days to spend.

Cadgirl,
What ar your dates for coming to Tucson? That will be the deciding factor on how to set your plans. The winter residents start showing up in mid October so things start to get busy. Adios, Bit |
We are arriving on Sept 27 and departing Sunday Sept 30th.

I'm not a fan of Pheonix so I would recommend heading down to Tucson. Keep in mind Tucson has changed a lot in twenty years -- but still less built up than Phoenix. Tucson has great restaurants - hacienda del sol, vivace, north, wildflowers -- and for something casual and very Tucson - try bluewillow. Late Sept. is a great time to be in Tucson -- the weather should be nice -- and not too hot. Enjoy.
