Phoenix to Tucson

From here in the East, it is usually much cheaper to fly into Phoenix to Tucson. How does one get economically from Phoenix to Tucson if one does not wish to rent a car. Are there cheap flights? Airport shuttle links? Buses? Any help will be welcome

I live in Tucson and frankly the easiest way is to rent a car. Changing planes in PHX is a pain in the neck and the flt down is about 15 min. As far as I know there are no buses. We frequently fly out of PHX because airfares are lower then from TUS (we just drive up, about 90 min ride).

There is a company called Arizona Shuttle that goes back and forth from selected spots in Tucson. It is a fairly easy drive should you decide to rent a car. Get on I-10 and drive straight down.

I'll be doing the same thing. Going to the ADDA convention?

I'd definitely rent a car - even if you don't need it while you are in Tucson. A one day rental would be cheaper than flying.

It is an easy drive.

Any reason you can't rent a car -age, health, no license, etc.? If not, rent a car . . . .

There are a couple of shuttle companies that make the trip very regularly. Arizona Shuttle Service is the first that comes to mind. It stops at a number of places in Tucson, including the airport, near the University, and other places. The drive is pretty easy if you do have to rent a car, though.

I would say definately rent a car unless you want to ride in a cramped, uncomfortable shuttle that won't even take you directly to your destination. The drive is extremely easy.
