Phoenix Restaurant and Fireworks
 

I will be attending the Diamondbacks game on the 4th of July and would like to have a dinner reservation where I would have a view of the fireworks for after the game. Not being farmiliar with Phoenix, I thought I'd ask for some help! Price isn't an object, but as we will be coming from the baseball game, someplace casual would be best. Also . . . does anyone know what time the fireworks are shot off? <BR><BR>Thanks in advance!

I'm curious about the fireworks too. Is downtown a mob scene?

Will they be having fireworks after the baseball game? That's something you could consider.

I've never been there myself, but there is a revolving restaurant on top of the Hyatt hotel in Phoenix - I believe it is (or was) called the Compass Room, pretty close to the ballpark, that would probably give you a nice view. The rest of the restaurants around the ballpark are pretty much street level, making it a bit more difficult to get a full view of the sky - even if you were seated by a window.

One more thing - you might want to check out either azdiamondbacks.com or azfamily.com (go to calendar and select July 4th) to see if they mention anything about fireworks, and the time of them.

The fireworks, PHX, are at Wesley Bolin Plaza. It is free admission, fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Expect very large crowds, bring a blanket/chair. Considered the greatest fireworks show in the SouthWest.<BR><BR>Also Tempe Town Lakes will shoot off fireworks. A great restaurant to view from high above is at the Buttes Hotel. Restaurant with fabulous view at hotel is "Top of the Rock."
