Phoenix Restaurant

Need the name of a restaurant in downtown Phoenix. I will be attending graduation from University of Phoenix at the US Airways Center, and staying at the Wyndham Downtown. There will be 19 of us, 3 will be children under 12. The general concensus is a place to eat with meat/chicken selections.

When I go to the AWA (aka US Airways Center) I always eat at a Mexican restaurant just a few blocks north call the matador I believe. It is some of the best mexican food I have ever tasted.

I love Sam's Cafe. Mexican place with outdoor dining and the best tortilla chips and margaritas I've ever had.

Just got back from graduation in Phoenix, and eating at Sam's Cafe. Thanks so much for the recommendation. Location was great for us staying downtown, and food was outstanding. Everyone seemed happy with my choice, and the kids enjoyed it too. Sorry I don't live closer so I can eat there all the time.

I loved Sam's Cafe and hope to get back to Phoenix some time just to eat there. The only person who didn't like it has problems with spicey food even though I didn't think it was spicey. OTH the waiter gave her a basket of just sweet potato chips instead of the usual mix. I think I ate there 4 times while attending a convention.

So glad it worked out for you! I hope I can get back there someday, I'm still dreaming of those chips!
