Philly in February

I would like to go to Atlantic City on February 8th but I have to fly into Philly airport. How’s the weather then and is there a chance the weather would keep me from driving to Atlantic City. Thanks

I really don't think any of us can answer that question. Weather varies day to day. Sometimes it can be mild in February. Other times we could have a blizzard. Even the meteorologists can't tell you this far in advance.

Typically, the Atlantic City area winters are fairly mild. Unless there is heavy snow, (which is unusual) the drive should be fine.

It is POSSIBLE that there would be a major snowstorm on the day you arrive that would shut down all major highways and rail lines, but that only happens about once every couple of years. Other than that slim possibility, you should have no problem -- the roads and rail lines between Philly and Atlantic City all get high priority for being kept clear.

As Schmerl noted, however, there's no way of knowing about the likelihood of such a storm till a few days in advance. I've lived through warnings of major storms only to see less than ten centimeters of snow on the ground.

Do you have to have a car in AC? Taking the train in is super easy and you won't have to worry about icy roads.
