philadelphia weather

Will be in Philly Aug24-28. Was hoping it would be cooling off a little by then. Will it be too hot to walk to the sights, etc? I do enjoy walking.

It's unlikely it will have "cooled off". Pretty much the peak of hot and humid around here. Don't know if YOU will think it's "too hot", though. Where are you from?

Philadelphia that time of year will be hot and very very humid.

Average high is mid-80's. It does get pretty humid here. It should be OK unless we get a real hot spell. Just mix in some indoor, air conditioned activities and plenty of water - you should be fine.

Thank you for your answers. I am used to dry Nevada heat, so don`t know about all that humnidity. We are going on from Philly to Bermuda, where it will also be hot! I will just bring water and a hat, and go inside if it gets too hot. Thanks again.

Visit the Constitution Center. It's filled with wonderful interactive displays and great history. It's also air conditioned! The museums are also air conditioned. You will be fine.
