Philadelphia Hotels

Have just been asked by the boss to go to Philadelphia in the morning - never been there before but only staying one night. Hotels - where should I stay.
How do I get to them? Is the airport far from city. I know I did not give much time for a response.

Where do you need to be?

There is a rail connection from the airport into 30th Street Station but do not know how often those trains run.

Just got back from Philly this weekend and stayed at the Sofitel. A great hotel right in the heart of Center City near Rittenhouse Square. Highly recommend it.

My business will actually be conducted in the airport and will only take about an hour so after that my time is my own until Thursday evening

I have stayed at the Courtyard in Philly, right near the hard Rock. Nice hotel and got it dirt cheap

You can walk over to the Marriott at the airport. It's connected where you exit security. They have a nice bar/restaurant called Riverbend.

Thanks everybody for suggestions. Ended up in the Embassy Suites - Marriott at the airport was full - $269 for night. Very central. Pleasantly surprised about Philly - great for shopping. spent most of the day in Macys.
