Petaluma to Yountville

Thinking of reserving a table at the French Laundry but will be staying in Petaluma. Is a taxi feasible or how long is the drive?
Thanks.

Not a bad idea! You can drink without
worry.

You can easily call a cab
to you here in Petaluma,it's the return
that might be a challenge.
It's a 30-40 min. drive from here on 2 lane curvy roads until you get to
Hwy 29 in Napa then it's a straight
shot up valley (10 min.)to Yountville.
Anywho...I'd keep that cab driver's cell phone # and a generous tip ready
to come fetch you after your meal.
Have you considered a Towncar or such for hire?

I'd check out a towncar. If you're spending that kind of money for dinner, it would worth the fare back to Petaluma.

Thanks for your replies. As a Brit I have no idea what a town car is! Could you enlighten me and how much would it cost?

Hi husa/andrew!
A towncar is a very nice sedan, typically black in color, with a driver and then 2 of you in the back.
See photo here:

http://www.pureluxury.com/fleet.html

If you scroll down on the "fleet" page here you will see a photo of a "sedan"
and that's it.
Just for fun, as I have an anniversary
soon, I called this company for rates
(Pure Luxury right here in Petaluma)
The towncar for 6 hrs is $451 with taxes
and tip-hourly it is $55 (without taxes
and tip).
I trust you have secured your table at French Laundry-as it takes months to get in.
Happy to help with other questions about
Petaluma and Sonoma County.
