Pet-Friendly Restaurants In Asheville?
 

Taking our dog to Asheville in a couple of weeks and were wondering if there are any casual places that allow dogs on their patios. I've done numerous web searches and can't find any info.

I don't believe you're going to find any restaurant advertising that you can bring your dog to eat on their patios. There may be some who will, once you arrive there, but I don't think they would advertise it. If you find some, let me know, Brian, because I can't tell you how many sandwiches we've eaten in the car with the air on because we couldn't leave the pooch in the hot car!

a agree with bonniebroad. We have brought our large dog to a few patio restaurants and also to bars. But they only allowed us after we called and asked first. And it's very interesting how the dog is a total magnet. So many people approach us because they are attracted to the dog. Some people call it a chick magnet.

When we were in Charleston a few weeks ago, we were at Magnolia Plantation, and there was actually a dog brought on our boat to take a ride around the rice paddy. Then in another part of the gardens, someone eating at a table near the outdoor food stand had a big dog at their feet. I wouldn't have thought of taking our dog in there.......... but I guess there's no problem because no one seemed to mind!

Thanks guys. I understand that most places won't advertise this. I guess I was hoping a local in the know would see this.

Blue Moon
Sunny Point Cafe

I don't know how they feel about dogs, but these places are casual and I would be willing to bet that a well behaved dog would be overlooked. Salsa is the best food of the 4 and the only one open for dinner.

New French Bar and Flying Frog both have a pleasant outdoor drinking area, but I don't know about the food.
