Perbacco, Incanto, or Flour + Water???

So many restaurants on my SF "bucket list", so little time. :(
OK, I have to decide between Perbacco, Incanto, or Flour + Water. What to do???

Can't really decide for you, I like all three. They are different and offer different experiences. Are you more interested in the food or the atmosphere or the "buzz" about them? Are you more interested in going to a place that people back home will know about (some people are) or the one that others consider the best? I say take a look at the menus for all of them and see what appeals. You can't really go wrong.

what SAB said.

Yep - check out the menues to see what you like.

Personally & give a slight nod to Perbacco over Incanto - mainly because the menu at Incanto is smaller and often has some "unusual" things on it. I love this unusual stuff (tuna heart, lamb neck) but my wife does not. We've dined at Incanto maybe 15-20 times & Perbacco 4-5 times.

Perbasso has lots of choices. We've never dined at Flour & Water. I've check out their menu multiple time because of all the "hype" about it. I am not a big pasta fan (unless shaved white truffles are on top of the pasta) - and the non-pasta choices did not excite me.

We took my mom to Perbacco last week to celebrate her 90th birthday. We all loved our dinners and shared the rabbit ravioli - yumm. We loved our desserts and wine selections. Most of all, we loved how they treated my mom and made her feel special. Every server knew it was her birthday and went out of their way to convey best wishes.

The next day, we took my mom to the Giants game. This was great since she is a big fan and probably last attended a game when Mays & McCovey played. Fun and special time for all.

Flour and Water does not take reservations and there is a line before it even opens. I would choose either Perbacco or Incanto (or La Ciccia a couple of block from Incanto) perhaps based on convenience. If you are staying downtown, the first would be a logical choice.

Michael--you may need to update your restaurant info. Flour + Water does take reservations; half the restaurant is for reservations, the bar and the other half are for walk-ins.

sab is right. flour + water takes reservations but they are almost impossible to get.

i'm not much of a pasta person but the home made pasta just melts in your mouth. everything else is really good too.
