Pebble Beach
Heading to Pebble Beach next week for 4 days. Anything we should see (other than Golf) in the Carmel/Monterey area? Wine tours that are recommended? Any great restaurants? Can't miss sights?

Thanks

Golfer:
You'll find hours of reading which will answer most of your qustions if you check a text search (archive search) above.
You're not getting many answers because your question is overwhelming. Like asking what the best things to do are in Florida...where to begin? The options list is as long as your arm!
Check the archives then write back with some specific questions (if you still have any) and you'll get more 'bites'.

Wow! I live in San Jose and have a home on the Monterey Peninsula and still don't know where to start on this one.

Good eats: Roy's at Spanish Bay Resort. Fandango's in Pacific Grove. The Fish Wife in Pacific Grove. Piatti's in Carmel. And on and on and on.

What to do: 17 Mile Drive for scenery. Monterey Aquarium. Downtown Pacific Grove and walk on its beach. (Everyone else will be in Carmel and PG is better)

Clothes: Khaki's in the Barnyard Shopping Center in Carmel. No better for great men's clothes.

Driving: Down Big Sur.

Anything else? Buy a great book or ask at your hotel.

Live in Bay area, was just in Carmel last week. See Pt. Lobos park if you have a good day or the mission in Carmel. Grasings in Carmel is good, as is Porta Bella and the Grill on Ocean. Second the recommendation for the Fish Wife and we also like the Old Bath House in Pacific Grove. Enjoy. Hope you get good weather, it's been on again, off again lately but this weekend is lovely. Pebble is the golf course golfers love to hate!
