Pearl Harbor Memorial Closed?
 

Is the Pearl Harbor Memorial, USS Arizona, closed to the public due to current crisis? If so, any information as to how long it will be closed?

John, <BR> <BR>It has been closed over the recent days. Anything secondary (e.g. grocery stores, banks, etc.) on or associated with military posts on island have been pretty much shut down this week. I can't say for sure if the memorial was open again today or not - and when it would reopen (assuming it hasn't). Reopening depends on the security level, how events unfold in the near future, etc. - a high security level is still in place now. There is a website for the national parks (of which the Arizona is one). It's www.npa.gov - they should have the information posted and if not have a phone number that can be called for information.

We were at the Memorial this past Saturday and it was closed.

It's re-opened now.

Reopened Monday after attacks. No purses, bags or camera CASES allowed. Cameras themselves OK.
