peak color in Northeast Iowa
 

I will be flying to Iowa in October for a short trip. Would like to see fall colors near Guttenberg and Effigy Mounds. When would be
the best time the week of October 8-14 or October 17-23? It has to been either one or the other. Know predicting fall colors is a crap shoot
but maybe someone could guide me a little on this matter. Heard Iowa had a wet summer so maybe leaves will be early.

On the average, peak fall color occurs in Northeast Iowa on the weekend closest to October 10.
