passport troubles

My son leaves tomorrow for a trip out of the country--we can't find his passport.
He can cancel the trip today for a small fee--what I'm wondering is...is there any hope he can get one in 24 hours? OR should we just bail? We have all searched EVERYWHERE!And, yes, I know....there is a lesson to be learned here....

24 hours from how many hours ago?

Since it'll probably cost far more to get a passport in (less than) 24 hours, if it's even possible, and I doubt that it is, I would cancel the trip and/or re-schedule.

This is why I put my airline tickets and passport in a plastic baggie taped to the refrigerator door while I pack, and always have a packing list with these items on top, which I check before leavinging the house.

Great news! It was found under the seat of his car--no idea how or why it got there! I was in a panic this morning--thanks for listening.

Under the seat of his car, Momma, I'd have to hurt him for that one.

My daughter is 30 and sometimes she does the dumbest things with important stuff. I got in her car last week to buckle the baby in her carseat and can you guess what I found in it? Here social sec. card and charge card. I yelled at her "thomasina have you heard of idenity theft lately" She was like "mom I'm sorry, the baby got ahold of my wallet" AHHHHHH I could have had a cow. Now I know what theat means.

I'm glad you found your Son's passport, funny you were searching his car for it.

Well, there's a lot more to this story--this was in the midst of his graduation day and moving two home from college and death in the family...what a day! All the vehicles were packed with stuff--boy, am I a happy mama now! College degrees don't always cover the necessities!
