Passport expires within 90 days

I just went to print my eticket and check-in for tomorrow's flight, I could not proceed because my passport expires with 90 days!!!!! I hope this will not cause delays at the airport because we have a very early flight. How annoying.

Hmm. That IS odd. It doesn't expire for 90 days so unless you are going out of the country for more than that, not sure why it would matter.

What country are you flying to debsnj? Some countries require that a passport be valid for a certain number of days after one departs the country they have visited.

many countries require 6 months remaining on your passport. At the cost of passports these days, it is really irritating to have to essentially lose half a year of them.

Going to Aruba, not exactly a National Security risk! Flying Delta.

Actually, you are lucky that you are going to Aruba as they do not seem to have the 6-month validity rule. (Many, if not most countries, require that a passport be valid for 3 - 6 months AFTER your departure.) It has nothing to do with "National Security". Please keep this in mind for your next overseas visit as you CAN be refused boarding or refused entry to a country that requires a passport be valid for a certain number of months.

Yep, it is the six month thing.
