passes for parks

I will be in the Bryce/Zion/Capitol Reef area for about a week. Will I need to pay each time I enter and leave a park? How much is the cost? Can I purchase a park pass? What is the cost for that? Thank you

www.nps.gov/fees explains fees. Your best bet would be to purchase the $50 annual pass - good for any national park from one year of first use - you can buy it on-line or at entrance to first park. When we bought ours we were surprised at how many local places that we had not thought of accepted it - for us, Cape Cod National Seashore, for example - so it was more than a good buy.

You can also buy shorter stay passes for less that are good at only one National Park.

Most park entrance fees are good for one week, so you don't have to pay every time you enter.

Bryce is $20/week
Zion is $20/week
CapReef is $5/week

A National Parks Pass is $50/year

If you are 60 or older, you can buy a lifetime pass, good at all nat'l. parks for $15.
