Passengers Bill of Rights
What do you think about this? Will it help improve air travel?
|
If you define "improving air travel" as requiring airlines not to deprive passengers of very basic human rights (like the right to deplane if there is no usable bathroom, no drinkable water, etc. on board), then yes. Otherwise, I wouldn't expect much.
|
I'm pretty skeptical that it will do much. It seems that we might be able to get more information from the airline regarding cancellations and low fares. Only problem is the thing is voluntary. So they don't really have to do anything.

Sounds good to me, let's start:

You have the right to remain silent
You have the right to keep your kids quiet
You have the right to only one alchoholic drink
You have the right to no more than 2ft. of overhead space
You have the right to flush the toilet
You have the right to be considerate
and
You have the right to the WHOLE can of soda.

|
How about adding: You have the right to an edible meal without having the head of the passenger in front of you on your tray table.
You have the right to enough leg room in order to maintain circulation in your feet.

The list could go on and on. Shall we try to organize this? Sounds like a lot of you are already very pessimistic. Why was smoking banned but we can't ask for anything else?
