paso robles car service?
Never been here, don't know the best wineries to see, still researching. But we are interested in having a car to take us around to avoid the drinking and driving. Don't want a big bus or a limo, just a car for the two of us. Anyone know of such a service? Or if we end up on one of the bus or limo services, will we miss some of the best places that don't allow them?

I've never heard of just a car service for the wineries. Try and call the Wine Outlet (a great wine store) at 805-462-9463 and they may have some ideas. Most people do the limo thing, but there may be more. The BEST winer is Tablas Creek. Absolutely world class. It is owned by the same people who have Chateau Beaucastel in France.
We don't have big buses here for wine touring. The limos will take you wherever you want to go. |
We just toured the area a few weeks ago. My favorites are: Tobin James, Bianchi, EOS (gorgeous tasting room and gift shop), Meridian, and you must try Wild Coyote. Great zins and merlots there.
San Marcos Creek is also very nice for their Syrahs. Have dinner at Buona Tavola in downtown Paso if you like great Italian food. Cheers! ***kim** |
One more that I we really like is Peachy Canyon for their "Incredible Red" and "Old Schoolhouse" zins. ***kim***

Usually limo companies also have towncar service.

More great wineries: Linne Calodo, Robert Hall, Justin, Eberle, L'Aventure, Turley. If you let me know what types of wines you like and what brands, I may be able to give you some more ideas. You can e-mail me at [email protected]

Check the www.pasowine.com site. It givies information on touring and has the numbers for several touring companies.

Don't miss the Martin & Weyrich winery. They have a very nice Nebbiolo there that we recently purchased.
If you want some luxurious lodging in Paso, check out the Villa Toscana, www.myvillatoscana.com Cheers! ***kim*** :) |
