Pasadena Take Two

Last year about this time I asked for some dinner recommendations and I'd like to reresh those suggestion, if you'd all be so kind! Last time we ended up at the Arroyo Chop House and had a fabulous dinner. Considering Twin Palms, Celestinos and The Raymond.... anyone been recently? :) TIA!

Are you coming to Pasadena for one speciall meal or will you be here several days on a vacation?

I like the location of Twin Palms. I have only been there once but we enjoyed it.

We love Saladang and Saladang Song (they are next door to each other on Fair Oaks about 1 block south of Del Mar.) Great Thai food, nice atmosphere. Saladang Song is slightly more upscale.

A Pasadena favorite is Mijares for Mexican food on Pasadena Ave between Del Mar and California. It's funky but beloved but not exceptional enough for a
special dinner in Pasadena if you are only coming for one night.

I travel on business and usually have a co worker or friend that lives in the area to eat with. Once in awhile I eat alone. Nice atmosphere and fairly decent food is my goal... I live here in CA and will be back many times... doesn't have to be "special." Thanks!

Just ate at the Raymond a couple of weeks ago and it was great! Highly recommend it, but do make reservations

In October we ate at Celestino's and had a lovely dinner, nice bottle of wine, excellent service, - I remember the soup being a special and it was fantastic and my pasta , while I can't remember what it was, I remember I loved it :)

We also enjoyed Arroyo and for fun one night we jumped into something called Tokyo Wako on Colorado Blvd in a mall area, but the food was fabulous and so were the martinis! Definitely casual and nothing like Arroyo or Celestino's, but it was perfect before a movie

While we did not eat dinner at the Ritz Huntington where we were staying, we did enjoy some great breakfasts and lunches there too
