Parking Vegas

If I'm staying downtown at the Golden Nugget & I drive to the Strip. What's a good/convenient place to park & is it free?
Thanks

Nearly every casino would love for you to park in their lots for free. Honest.

Thanks, but I read something about the parking lots being inconveniently or at least distantly located. Does that also mean that they are hard to find?

Well, they'd only be hard to find if you are unable to read big signs in English that say "Parking". And if you are unable to see that a huge multilevel building with open sides and lots of cars inside is a parking garage. In other words, it would be very, very difficult to NOT find many parking lots -- including one at every major hotel/casino.

They're not hard to find, but they do require lots of walking to get from your car to the casino entrance . . . every single one I've been in. But then, I think of it as walking off some of those buffet calories :)

Ok,, sounds like I might be able to handle that. Thanks a lot.

You could always use the valet to save on the walking to the lot. No charge except for tipping.

Parking is not the problem IMHO. It's the driving to and fro. The strip is a miserable place to drive except for around 6-7AM.

Parking in Vegas is free, plenty of parking available and the garages are very easy to see as someone has mentioned. Some might be a little walk, but most of the walk is inside in the A/C. Valet is also free, nice to tip $2. in AND $2. out, might give a $5. on Fri. & Sat. night.

Get a city map and drive the side streets. You can enter a lot of the garages from these streets and it keeps you off of the strip. We always let the valet park the car and tip when he brings the car back. Very convenient that way.
