>>@obxgirl: I just looked at this page on the DMV website. I think I may have an argument after I read item # 6.<<
Sounds like you're good to dispute it since you've got the documentation. I'll disagree with the posters who say ignore it. Deal with it. |
Solved!

You'd better deal with it, one way or another.
We rented a car in Los Angeles. We received a ticket for a red-light infraction that occurred 10 days after we flew out of the city. The photo was a laugh--a guy 6 inches taller than my husband with way more hair. The rental car company gave the police our name in error; they typed the wrong date in the system. It was a headache to clear up, even though we were entirely in the right. |
Item 6 refers to someone who has received an erroneous citation, in other words, the person who has the license plate number written on your ticket. I do not see how you can be connected to that plate. Forget about it.

I would ordinarily say pay the fine especially if you broke the law but I also agree with Howard..how can they possibly track you or the rental car company down?
And it is pretty obvious there are a lot of people on this thread who don't read very well. |
I thought he used a credit card to pay for his spot. If so, the online vendor would have to give his credit card info to the authorities if asked. I guess I don't understand how your mobile app works as our city doesn't have that option.
