Parking in San Francisco

Hi there,

I will be staying in Hotel Carlton in San Francisco for 3 nights in August. Hotel parking is something like $30/night. Do you know if there's any cheaper garage in the surroundings (Hotel Carlton/Sutter St.)?

Thanks

Francesca

That's actually a pretty decent price; parking in San Francisco is $$$.

The opened public parking lot is across from the hotel, I think it's $20 for 24 hrs, maybe their price went up since January?

Can you take buses and rent the car only for that day that you want to leave the city?

$30 a nite at a hotel in SF is cheap. Most hotels charge between $40-$50. If there is a $20 lot in SF, please post the name/address, I'd love to park there.

Alternatively, you could stay at the Cow Hollow Motor Inn for about $130 a night--parking included.

Also, check and be sure that you have in and out priviledges.

You're better off leaving the car in your hotel parking garage - if it has one. Public parking garages are not that safe (for your car) overnight.
