Parking at Hotels

I am thinking of booking at the M Resort.

It's far from the Strip.

Is parking free on the strip at all the other hotels.

Thanks.

yes

The M is a gorgeous hotel with a great open airy casino, beverage stations, awesome pools (and convenient access), and free parking (including covered).
They used to provide shuttles to the strip, but I liked it so much I only left the hotel once!
p.s. an unbelievable buffet, if you like those.

I was just reading the Fodors guide, it saids that you can hear the planes overhead.

Can you? And is it loud?

I never heard planes, even from the pools; but you can walk to the strip from the airport, so I don't think noise levels could be much different, despite landing patterns! (Every newer major hotel in LV is pretty well insulated, I would think.)
I liked being able to go park in the Strip hotel casinos and stroll around from there (we've parked for free at Luxor, TI, (the former) Aladdins); but downtown hotels had modest parking charges (I wanted to see the Fremont Street Experience, and was glad I did).
Also, the M once charged resort fees, then stopped. Still a separate charge for spa/gym, I believe (but check their website).

Thanks sylvia3, I've booked the MResort.

I am planning on going to Freemont Street Experience too! Hmm where to park for that!

Many hotels with parking garages border the covered blocks; there might be free parking, but we thought the fee for the hotel lot was nominal, and the lot was very convenient. Fun way to spend a few evening hours, though you might get a crick in your neck!

p.s. Make sure you get a "strip view" (or city view) room vs. mountain (all nice, but strip gets you the city lights AND mountains).

For parking near the FSE I parked near the old ElCortez casino.
Looks like they are looking for more patrons from the website.

I paid $1/hr for the time I was there.
The other way to get up the strip is to use the "Deuce" bus.
The buffet at the Golden Nugget is good and cheap before 3PM.

The Deuce (from my experience) is incredibly overcrowded and has no schedule in reality; it's a long slog to anywhere with lots of stops. Taxi from the strip would be better than that, but if you are coming in from the south, there are lots of places to park downtown (almost any Glitter Gulch hotel); we parked at Binions, and thought it was very reasonable.
